Speaking of Hog Heaven prompts this mail from New England...

 From: PHALL@YaleVM.YCC.Yale.Edu (Peter Hall)

Reminds me of an old Down East (Maine, that is) dialogue about one Ormie
Bowden who heard Eugene V. Debs speak at the Bangor Fair and was converted
to socialism. Ormie and his neighbor Link Sawyer are talking over the back
fence. Ormie has just given an impassioned spiel on the virtuess of
socialism.

Link: You mean to say, Ormie, that under socialism if you had two barns,
you'd give me one of 'em?

Ormie: Ayuh.

Link: And do you mean to say, Ormie, that if you had two privies, under
socialism you'd give me one of 'em?

Ormie: Ayuh.

Link: And do you mean to say, Ormie, that if you had two hogs, under
socialism you'd give me one of 'em?

Ormie: Dammit, Link, you know I got two hogs!
