I believe the controversy is more subtle.

There is evidently a rare tan-colored M&M that will be eliminated
if a newer, spiffier color is chosen (blue is the front runner).
A vote for "no change" may actually be a vote to
save the rare tan M&M. I have not confirmed this
with the confectioner.

feel good about indulging yourself with a few calls the next time some
frivolous issue like public broadcasting, corporate welfare, or the like comes
